Your body is supposed to sweat!

Aluminum compounds are commonly used in anti-perspirants to block sweat glands and reduce perspiration. YIKES! Your body is supposed to sweat and detox. I know, I know, I don't want to stink anymore than you. So, what's the answer?

What makes natural deodorant different?

Natural deodorants are free from harmful chemicals like aluminum, parabens, and phthalates. Instead, they rely on natural ingredients like baking soda, essential oils, and plant-based extracts to neutralize odor and keep you feeling fresh throughout the day. Plus, I've created a two-fold approach to helping absorb the stink and feel fresh all day long.

Why is aluminum in anti-perspirants a concern?

There is growing concern about the potential health risks associated with aluminum exposure. Some studies have linked aluminum to breast cancer and Alzheimer's disease, although more research is needed to confirm these findings. BUT, do YOU want to be the guinea pig in all this unknown stuff? Remember when we thought parabens were "safe?"

Benefits of using natural deodorant

Switching to natural deodorant can have several benefits for your health. Natural deodorants are less likely to cause skin irritation or allergic reactions, making them a safer choice for those with sensitive skin. Additionally, natural deodorants are often cruelty-free and environmentally friendly, making them a more sustainable option.

How to make the switch

If you're ready to make the switch to natural deodorant, it's important to give your body time to adjust. Your body may go through a detox period as it adjusts to the new product, so be patient and give it time. Remember to reapply throughout the day as needed, especially during the initial transition period.

When I did this over a decade ago, I applied my deodorant balm like usual, in the morning. Mid-day, I'd head to the bathroom and give my pits a little wash and then reapply. THE BEST WAY, though, is to also apply my deodrant powder on top of the balm. Just a tiny sprinkle into your palm, then onto your pit. I formulated the powder about a year after the balm, because I wanted more absorbing power.

Switching to natural deodorant is a positive step towards reducing your exposure to harmful chemicals and taking better care of your body. YAY! It's one more way to help your body detox, heal, and feel even better. Plus, you won't stink.

Love,

Christie
